Papermonster 12" Business Laminator

After searching and reading the reviews I thought I'd give this one a try.  I plan to test it out 'VERY' soon after I print off all the files that I purchased from TPT.  I also ordered some of their laminating pouches to help me get started. 

I know what your thinking...but wait I saw two things in the box.  

Not only did I buy the laminator but I also needed a paper cutter to use at home.  Cutting with scissors is not fun when you have to do it all by yourself.  Tear, tear...my hubby doesn't enjoy cutting anything LOL.  So I thought why not buy one and ordered the Papermonster 12.6" Home Duo Trimmer.  I ordered both of them from My Binding and let me tell you they are fast at shipping!!  

Plus did I forget to mention that shipping was 'FREE,' because my order was over $75. I thought it was going to take at least a week for it to arrive and boy was I wrong...it was delivered in 3 days with ground shipping.

This paper cutter will really come in handy since it provides two different trim styles.

I can't wait to use both!! Woohoo, this is my happy birthday present to myself, lol.

kinder graduation cap, sash, and yarn medallion

I had a group of wonderful parents who made the cute caps, sashes, yarn medallions, and even a homemade gown for all 28 students in our class!  

They came out very cute!!  You should have seen their sweet little faces and how proud they were to wear their kindergarten graduation attire.  While we waited for them to get ready, I passed out the kinder photo slide show DVDs to all the families.  

Each student was called at a time to get their kindergarten certificate and posed for pictures for their families.  

Our school colors are blue and yellow so we used blue poster board to make the cap, added a yellow pom-pom, and the tassel is made from yellow and blue yarn.

I went to Michaels to buy the ribbon (found one with glitter), gold glitter glue, yellow gloss paint, and gold paint. I didn't get to take a picture of the big yellow bottle, since we used it all to paint the wooden medallions.  

I tried to take a picture without the flash so you could see what was written on the sash.

Kindergarten Photo Slide Show

We have our end of the year kindergarten program on the last day of school.  This is when the parents come in and get to see their child perform, sing songs that they have learned in kindergarten, receive their certificate, take pictures, give hugs, say our good-byes to our friends, and watch a photo slide show.  

The photo slideshow has all the pictures that I have taken throughout the kindergarten school year.  Each student gets a copy of the DVD with their memory book.

To make my photo slide show, I use iPhoto on my Mac computer to organize all the pictures, pick the theme for the slide show, and the music.  When I'm done I then send it to iDVD.  It's really simple and it doesn't take too much time to make.  

I tried to make a shorter version of the slideshow so that you can get an idea of how it looks.  It normally runs for about 15 minutes, LOL...we just have so many pictures in kindergarten but I tried to make this one a minute long.  Excuse the blurriness but I'm still new at posting videos online.  The quality looks way better when transferring it to the iDVD and showing it on T.V. or on the computer (we view the slideshow on our smartboard for all the families to see).
