Hi everyone, it's been such a long time since I have linked up for Five for Friday!
The weather has been really nice in Vegas, so we have been going to the Red Rock Canyon just about every single week. It's been really fun going on different trails each time.
Little did I know that the 'La Madre Spring Trail' was all uphill...I had to take a lot of little breaks but when we finally got up there I had to spell out our name to take a picture to remind me to never come back to this trail again, JK. It was worth it and I will definitely go on this trail again.:)
Last week we went hiking on the Calico Tanks trail and it was a bit more complicated for me...I'm pretty much afraid of heights, but my husband encouraged me to try and finish it. All I can remember is him telling me 'be the rock,' as I climbed and tried really hard not to look down. Seriously, the things my husband tells me, lol. Anyhoo, I'm so glad that he did push me to continue because at the end of the trail we saw nothing but water! It looked amazing!! I'm hoping that we can continue doing this every week.:)
I found this huge panda at Hallmark. When I saw it, it reminded me of the Valentine craft that I made. So cute, I really wanted it but I had to get back to reality...where would I put it. It's huge!:)
You might think, why is she posting a picture of her planting some seeds...well I've been inspired to try to grow a little garden. I bought a basil plant about a month ago and it's still alive! If you know me, plants do not seem to last. But for some reason my basil plant has lasted this long and I really want to grow cilantro! So I'm going to try out this Salsa Garden kit that I found at Target and I hope that the seeds grow. Wish me luck!
I have created not only one, but seven different templates. What can I say I like to have different options for the kids to pick. I have posted it to my TpT store.
I don't know about you but I just love it when March comes around and the kids gets to make leprechaun traps. For a whole week my students setup their traps in our classroom to try to catch him. Every single day the leprechaun would leave us different surprises and one of them would be lucky pennies. They get so excited when he leaves tiny notes and treats. So to end this blog post, I am sharing these with you. Click on the picture to download the file.
I'm glad you're enjoying the nice weather in Vegas. I'm in AZ and it's been so nice here too. I love your Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day crafts, too cute ;)
ReplyDeleteYes, surprisingly we have been having nice warm days. Aww, thank you for the compliment! I just check out your post as well on your blog but couldn't figure out how to leave a comment, so I'll leave one on Instagram. Have a great weekend!:)

Thanks for visiting my blog :-) I love the photos of your hiking trips - those rocks look simply amazing! I agree it's always nice for children to have a choice so the different hats are a great idea. The best of luck with growing some plants I'm not really green-fingered so I know how hard it can be to nurture and sustain them. Special Teaching at Pempi’s Palace
ReplyDeleteNo problem! l enjoy looking at teacher blogs and what better way to find more new blog friends than on a Five for Friday Linky Party. I really do hope though that the seeds grow! *Crossing my fingers.*

Thank you Heather! I enjoyed reading your post on Five for Friday. As much as I enjoy the warm weather, I've a little 'J' that it never snows over here. Hope your enjoying your Saturday!:)
