Mother's Day Tea Party
Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Mommy's out there!! I can't believe that we just had our Mother's Day Tea Party today! My students were really looking forward to this day and couldn't wait to have their Mommy's come in to our classroom to have a special tea party just for them. Here are a a few pictures of our Tea Party!
These are our placemats for our Tea Party. We fingerprinted a piece of construction paper and when they were dry we glued a teapot pattern in the middle with a heart. These were laminated and ready for the tea party!
I wanted to have something outside of our classroom for all the Mommy's to read while they waited outside our door and we wrote about our Mom's on an IMom writing paper.
I thought it would be cute for my students to write about their mom's on a iPhone paper, since many of our Mommy's have cool cellphones.;)
When I opened the door, each student gave their Mom a flower and escorted them to their seat. (I didn't get to take a picture of this part...so sorry!) They sang 2 songs and then we got watched our Mother's Day Slide Show.
My students shared their Mother's Day gifts while they waited for their turn to get some refreshments and goodies to eat.
Thankfully my hubby was nice enough to help me out with the Tea Party and was the photographer for the day. I'm not normally in the pictures when we have celebrations, since I am the one taking all the pictures...but he was able to capture at least a few pictures of me, heehee.
Towards the end of our Tea Party, I took pictures of my students with their Mommy's. I can't wait to put these in their memory book. This was one of my favorite celebrations that we have had this school year. I really enjoyed doing this for my students and their Mom's. I hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!:)
Looks like your students and their Mom's had a great time. Wonderful idea! I am putting on my to do list for next year. Thanks so much for sharing.
