100th Day Fun Activities & Linky Party!

I am linking up again with Jacque at Mommy and Me Creations for 'Just the Teachers Tuesday Linky!'
Mommy and Me Creations
Today, I will be sharing what we do to celebrate the 100th Day of School.  Now last year, I wasn't able to do the 100th Day due to being out sick...but I decided to change it up and do a 'I Can Count to 100' celebration so that we wouldn't miss out on the fun!

Everything that I did that day was exactly what I would have done for the 100th Day.  I read these stories throughout the day.
We made a 100th day book and wrote about what we would do if we had 100 dollars.

We made crowns that said 'I can count to 100!' and the students decorated each strip with 10 stickers to make a total of 100 stickers!
We used our 'My 100 Counting Mats' to count by tens and make necklaces out of fruit loops cereal.
The students decorated the number 100 as a family project with one-hundred small items.  They brought them back to school during our celebration to do a 'Show and Tell' and display them in our classroom.  Unfortunately I do not have a picture of this...but I will definitely take one when we celebrate it this year!

We went on starfall.com and watched the 100th Day story that they have on their website.
Towards the end of the day we went outside to released 100 balloons!  This is such a fun activity to do with the kids and we watch them fly up in the sky.  This is something that I've done since my second year of teaching.  It is so much fun and we attach a tag to each balloon to see if someone who finds the balloon will write back a note to our class!
And last but not least, each student went home with a certificate that said, 'I Can Count to 100' and also an 'I Survived 100 Days of School!'  I found the cutest certificates for 'I Can Count to 100' at the Dollar Tree!!  I haven't found them this year, but I'm going to keep looking.
Each student also received a 100th Day Mini Booklet and a 100th day pencil to take home.  I got them at Scholastic... they are so tiny!!
I have added my 100th Day of School Activities Packet to my TPT store if your interested in purchasing it.  I've included everything that we do for that day.
I can't wait to do all of these activities very soon!  Here is a freebie for you, a 100th Day Banner!  Click on the picture to download the file.
Don't forget to enter my giveaway for a $10 certificate to Teachers Pay Teachers.  Tomorrow is the last day to enter and the Rafflecopter will select 2 winners!!:)
