Sooooo, are you as excited as I am about tomorrow's giveaway! Just so that you don't miss out, here is a little sneak peak of what will be in the mini unit.
I'll be quite honest, I've been working on this for a week or so and have been adding so many activities that I had to tell myself to 'stop.' This girl needs her sleep...yikes! I realized that the mini unit was becoming more of a super long unit so I had to decide which ones were best to keep with the mini unit. Even though I've shrunken it down to half of what I made to make this a true mini unit, I promise that you will 'love it!' Isn't this little raccoon adorable?!;)
Don't forget...I will only be sending by email to the ones that become a follower for my blog. Please make sure to leave a comment sharing your ideas of what you do in your classroom for the book 'The Kissing Hand' and also your email so that I can send it to you tomorrow. You don't want to miss out, because I think that you will really, really, and I mean really like it. It is pouring outside in Vegas today...so this girl needs to get off of the computer and enjoy the rain...it's very rare for it to rain here! Happy posting!:)
Thank you!

ReplyDeleteHi I forgot my email so let me try again. I love this story and read it every year. My students enjoy making a paper bag Chester puppet. Thank you for sharing your unit. My email address is cvfoedisch@verizon.net
DeleteHi! I tried to send the unit to your email but it didn't go thru...is there another email that you would like me to send it to?
DeleteMini unit, large unit no matter what you send I know it will be amazing. I know the kissing hand is always used in the beginning of the school year but I also use during my camping and pond theme and also can be used during a woodland animals unit or even a Mother's Day Craft. I just adore the book and all of the others in the series. Can't wait till tomorrow. For a craft we make a Mama raccoon and baby raccoon they are always too cute.
ReplyDeleteI love using this book each year. We create a card for our students to give their parents with a heart in their traced handprint. It is a great way for them to take a memory home from our first week at school.

I just ordered cookies from our local bakery for the first day of kindergarten! I have a cookie cutter in the shape of a hand with a heart in the middle! We usually make them ourselves, but it's always so busy when s hook starts and my cookies never come out great looking. We do a tour of the school with Chester. So much fun! I think I missed the deadline to get the unit:( may e I need to star paying attention to the date again! I thought the tomorrow was today! Lol super cute though!
